Personal story

Hi, I'm Anna.

Anna Colpack Stanford women's lacrosse headshot

I am a senior at Stanford University, where I study Psychology and compete on the Stanford Women's Lacrosse team. Growing up in Littleton, Colorado, I played multiple sports before ultimately pursuing lacrosse at the highest level.

Like many athletes, I experienced the pressure, nerves, and self-doubt that come with competitive sports and recruiting. Working with sports psychologists transformed not only my performance, but also my confidence, relationships, and overall quality of life. I learned how to manage pressure, build confidence, improve self-talk, and trust myself in high-stakes moments.

Those experiences inspired my passion for helping young athletes develop the mental skills needed to thrive both on and off the field.

Today, I combine my experiences as a Division I athlete with my studies in psychology and research in cognitive neuroscience to translate performance psychology into practical tools athletes can use in real moments. My goal is to help players navigate competition, recruiting, and performance with greater confidence, resilience, and enjoyment.

Everything I do is guided by my core values of Health, Courage, Competence, Intelligence, and Love. When I am not at Stanford, my happy place is in the Colorado mountains hiking, skiing, or snowboarding, where I am reminded that growth often comes with a few wipeouts.

Why mental performance

The best athletes train both their body and mind.

Confidence, composure, self-talk, preparation, focus, and resilience all show up during games. They also show up during hard practices, tryouts, recruiting conversations, and the days when an athlete feels stuck.

My approach is supportive and practical. I help athletes name what they are feeling, understand what is in their control, and build habits they can actually use when the game speeds up.
